Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Citizens Advice.

Why we're here

We aim to provide the advice people need for the problems they face and improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives.

We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.

This is an extremely interesting time for the charity, and a good time to be joining the Board. We have made great progress with our plans to help more people, and have strengthened our influence in order to make things fairer.

Building on our successes over these past 77 years we continue to search out better ways of doing things.

How you can help

The Trustee Board is a team of 12 individuals who provide strategic leadership and vision for Citizens Advice. We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our board.

The successful applicant will share our aims and contribute positively to our culture, be able to demonstrate that they can carry out the fundamental responsibilities of Citizens Advice Trustees and have the personal qualities and expertise to contribute effectively to Board work and decisions.

Of particular interest for this round of recruitment would be:

  • Commercial or business development experience
  • Experience of living or working in Wales

We want to increase the diversity of our leadership and particularly welcome applications from women, disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people, as they are currently under represented on the Board.

We hope that you will take this opportunity to read through the information presented here, talk to the consultants at Green Park and view our website.

We very much look forward to reading your application.
