In Bromley the Adult Social Care department is on an exciting transformation journey. This builds on the Council’s priorities embedded in ‘Building a Better Bromley’. Our Transforming Bromley Roadmap 2019 to 2023 seeks to support independence, to ensure that people with care and support needs in the borough receive the necessary information, advice and support to keep them safe from harm.
The new Assistant Director for Operations will act as Deputy to the Director of Adult Services in relation to all operational adult social care matters relevant to or arising from the Care Act 2014, the Mental Health 1983, the Children and Families Act 2014 and other relevant statutory or professional guidance. The Assistant Director will support the Director as part of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver the integration of health and social care across the borough.
Reporting directly to the Director of Adult Social Care you will need to be a collaborative corporate team player, prepared to generate new ideas, create new opportunities, all with the focus on improving the lives of vulnerable adults in Bromley.
The ability to manage complexity and relationships across multiple stakeholders is key, alongside delivering services that achieves the very best outcomes for our residents and their families.
You will have experience of successful management, service improvement and have a clear understanding of what “excellent” looks like for the service.
