Head of Service Roles
Head of Inclusion & Head of School Setting and Effectiveness
London Borough of Brent

Championing Children in the Borough of Cultures

Brent is a vibrant and diverse local authority with huge ambition and energy.  The Council is focused on giving every child and young person the best opportunities to thrive and succeed. Brent Council is recruiting to two critical roles in our Children’s Services Leadership Team; Heads of Service leadership positions with an opportunity to make a real difference for children and young people, working with brilliant settings and schools and delivering on an ambitious inclusion agenda.

These roles will provide the right candidates with an ideal environment to grow and develop as a leader of children’s services, working with an established and experienced Children’s Services Leadership Team.

Brent is a borough characterised by change. It is a place where new communities have always settled, regularly adding to its distinctive diversity, and this continues today. Brent is one of the most culturally diverse areas in England. The dynamic mix of communities continues to enrich and inform the social, economic and cultural make-up of the borough. From the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, to the iconic Wembley Stadium arch, Brent is filled with multi-cultural landmarks. We are the LGC UK Council of the Year 2020, with the panel of judges stating:  “Brent has embraced its communities in a celebration of diversity, lifting up the whole borough. The council demonstrates how to convene place and communities – an antidote to today’s fractured society.”
